The Role
icona is looking for an experienced Marketing Specialist to join our growing team!
Our ideal candidate is highly organized and detailed, with outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. A creative and innovative thinker with a commitment to customer service (internal and external) and a digital first mindset. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications, you will support a wide variety of marketing initiatives, with a focus on social media, digital marketing, content management, event coordination and communications support.

What You’ll Do
- Support and execute various marketing initiatives
- Coordinate social media platforms including content development, posting, monitoring and reporting for YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn
- Enhance and execute social media and digital profile strategies & track success
- Implement optimization features to facilitate daily management of social channels
- Develop a reporting template and provide insights
- Maintain awareness of current social media trends and issues that offer opportunity for icona participation
- Perform website content updates and report analytics
- Coordinate digital advertising and report results
- Send and track email communications via MailChimp
- Event Management & Coordination: support Director, Marketing with planning and managing community relations events, internal team events, presentation centre openings, realtor events, etc.
- Support Senior Manager with internal communications (e.g. monthly newsletter, intranet)
- Market Research: conduct market research, compile data and provide analysis
- Develop a suppliers list for key marketing initiatives
- Ensure accurate filing and record keeping
- Review competition in detail including presentation centre visits and stay informed of general market conditions, create monthly status reports for marketing team
- Coordinate production and workflows with printing companies, signage, etc.
- 20% general administrative duties and 80% specialized duties

What We’re Looking For
- You ideally have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Marketing, or Communications
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience including 2 years of event coordination
- Experience with YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn and social monitoring tools
- Proficient in full Microsoft Office suite especially intermediate skills in PowerPoint/Keynote and Excel applications
- Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal
- Self-starter, high level of initiative, proven proactive thinker
- Strong ability to multi-task with results-oriented mindset
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities, workflow, and meet deadlines
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Proficient with SEO, paid search and CRM tools such as Google Analytics, Google Adwords, HubSpot, SalesForce, etc.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite an asset

What We’ll Provide
icona offers a flexible and desirable work environment. Two days per week this role will be based in our Coal Harbour office (located near transit) where you’ll enjoy front row ocean views, seawall access for walking meetings, and a talented team of collaborators. The other three days you’ll able to work from your home office where you’ll be equipped with all the necessary tech.

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
