Social Media Manager

The Role

Icona is looking for a digital native to join icona’s growing marketing team as Social Media Manager. If you’re a strategic thinker, passionate storyteller, and skilled communicator with a proven track record for managing and growing social channels, you’d be a great fit. Your creative energy will be focused on bringing icona’s human-centered brand and real estate development communities to life, by creating authentic stories that are instantly recognizable as icona and convey life’s moments.

You will own icona’s social media strategy, from conceptualization to planning and execution of campaigns that support our business goals including engagement, audience growth, acquisition, conversation and more. You will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities to generate qualified customer engagement opportunities by creating original text and video content, managing posts and responding to followers across our social channels including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter. Ideally, you have experience or an interest in real estate marketing and stay current with the latest social media and digital trends.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop icona’s social media strategies across our social channels from inception to execution
  • Plan, curate and develop compelling text and video content to engage our target clients and grow icona’s online community
  • Lead the development and execution of the social media content calendar, tailoring digital campaigns that drive engagement and inbound traffic that align with our growth strategy
  • Work closely with icona’s marketing team to develop social marketing campaigns and initiatives that contribute to achieving icona’s business goals and that of our real estate developments
  • Prepare annual, monthly and weekly content calendars that outline all content requirements and timing
  • Proofread, publish and promote content, work with marketing media team to drive further exposure
  • Optimize and automate social listening queries to route relevant results from our managed social channels for analysis and reporting
  • Monitor and collect insights on performance, community interactions and campaign results for organic and paid channels, including email, paid search, social media and programmatic advertising
  • Manage our outbound email marketing campaign, working to grow our subscriber list by developing engaging email content.

What We’re Looking For

  • You are a digital veteran with 5+ years experience developing and delivering social marketing campaigns and initiatives from inception to execution
  • You have demonstrated expertise of social media networks and the distinctive audience habits on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter. Experience on Weibo desirable
  • You have an impressive track record for developing comprehensive media strategies, including planning paid and organic efforts across multiple social platforms
  • You are fluent using social analytics such as Hootsuite, social listening such as Meltwater, ESP provider like Mailchimp, and capable of collecting, analyzing and using social data to achieve campaign objectives. CRM implementation experience an asset
  • You love a creative brief and are able to develop the required copy, image, and video assets for each campaign
  • You have a passion for real estate and take pride in being at the forefront of industry trends and monitoring customer behaviours through proactive research
  • You are known for your exceptional writing skills and ability to generate and publish relevant content to engage our target customer using our unique voice
  • You have solid knowledge of Google Ads and Facebook's advertising platforms and know how to optimize campaign buys to ensure budgets are spent as effectively as possible
  • You take a data-driven approach to social media advertising, analyzing data and adjusting campaign copy to ensure success
  • You are accountable for social performance and KPI’s, creating monthly and quarterly dashboards of achievements and key learnings
  • You thrive in a growth-stage environment, characterized by a rapid pace and change where strategic and creative thinking skills are valued
  • You are a proactive, self-starter who is always one step ahead working independently and as part of a team
  • You are a multi-tasker, exceptional time manager and capable of supporting other initiatives such as email marketing and paid social advertising

What We’ll Provide

icona offers a flexible and desirable work environment. Two days per week this role will be based in our Coal Harbour office (located near transit) where you’ll enjoy front row ocean views, sea wall access for walking meetings and talent team of collaborators. The other three days you’ll able to work from your home office where you’ll be equipped with all the necessary tech.
